Creation 2008
Creation this year was a lot of fun. I had to leave early though. Friday night I got really sick and by 1 am my parents were there to get me. We went to the doctors and later found that I am in the process of passing another kidney stone. Creation was amazing though! A kid from our youth group received Christ on Saturday and was baptized! I missed it, but was very happy for him when they told me! Here are the pictures that I took and a few that my friends shared with me for the parts that I missed. I only really missed the baptism, which is the best part!
Registration Weekend
This past weekend was registration weekend. It was one of the most amazing weekends ever, and I didn't want to leave. I absolutely love Huntington, and am very happy about my decision to go there this fall. I met my roomate, and she is pretty neat. She is kind of shy, which is the opposite of me. I think that we will work out pretty well. We are majoring in the same thing, so we should have a lot of the same classes in the future. I have a pretty good schedule. I don't have to take a math class which really excited me. I will have to take a stats class sometime, but thats barely even math! On Friday night, they had a student panel and a faculty panel for the kids to ask questions. I thought that it was really neat. The coolest thing was that both the students and the faculty said the same thing when it came to what their favorite thing about Huntington was. They all said that the faculty and students cared for one another in a way that you would never find on an ordinary campus. That was pretty neat. My parents came home from Alaska which is a good thing! I am glad that they are home because now I don't have so many responsibilities hehe! I leave for Creation in about an hour and I am very excited. The end of June and beginning of July always seems to be crazily busy, but I love it! Well, I need to go finish packing. I will post pictures when I get home on Sunday!!
Busy Times Ahead
From Sunday to yesterday, I worked 16 hours. I am very happy to not have to work again until Sunday night. This afternoon we are leaving for Indiana for registration. I am very excited to get out of here and to just get away. I finally get to meet my roomate too, and that is very exciting. When I get home from Indiana, I will be leaving for Creation like 2 days after that. My parents get home next Tuesday night and I am sort of happy. I hate having to email them to find out where things are and what not. Reba (the guinea pig) had to go to the vet yesterday. She is doing better now and is running around. I am pretty much all packed, except for a few things. I am too tired to pack anymore. I bought a case of red bull so that I would stay awake. I cant believe that College Registration is already here. I couldn't wait for this day to come, and now I am a little scared for it to come. I like being where I am at right now. Although things may get tough, its what I am used to. I am not looking forward to the change and what not. I am excited, but am very nervous about going so far away. I know that Craig and Rhonda will be there, but I still feel like I will be so alone. Oh well, this weekend is going to be the best weekend ever! I will post whenever I get home or if I have time to when I am out there.
Home Alone
Well, the parents went to Alaska for the next few weeks, and I am home alone. What an adventure it has been the past couple of days. Hannah and I drove to the Bay Bridge and back on Thursday night just because we wanted to see the beach. How wild and crazy is that!? I didn't get home until like 4 am! Then I had to work the next morning at 10 am. It really was rough but a lot of fun. This week was VBS as well. I had a lot of fun with that! The kids were great and were a lot of fun. We had one of the best groups. They were so quiet and very well behaved. Sometimes they got hyper, but what 7 year old doesn't!? One night, they were told to draw two pictures of their two best friends, and the one little girl drew me. It was really sweet. I have worked the past two days, and it has been exhausting. I was going to go out tonight, but was too tired to go out. Joel and I have been hanging out a lot. He goes away soon, so I really want to hang out with him as much as possible. He is like one of my best friends and its going to be hard for him to leave.
Summer Has Begun
This is technically the first day of summer break! Last week was full of graduation practicing and a lot of parties. Now, I can finally relax. I dont have to worry about assassins since I am already dead, and I dont have to worry about any summer homework like I have in previous years. Huntington registration is in 2 weeks and Creation is a few days after that! I am still exhausted from all of the crazy parties that went on this weekend. Mom and dad leave Wednesday for Alaska which leaves me here alone! And yesterday, Taylor and I got our hair cut and donated it to be made into a wig. I got nine inches cut off which leaves my hair to be very short right now. VBS is this week and I am helping out with the second grade class with Natalie. All of the kids are adorable and I love them. Makes me rethink my college plans. We will see what happens!
Graduation Fun!
Yay! We are all finally done with Shippensburg High School! Our graduation day started off pretty rough. Our super intendent was really rough with us in the morning, and had all of us pretty upset. When driving home from graduation practice, I was killed in this assassins game. Tyler came through my window when we were at a red light and shot me. The game was fun while it lasted. Graduation went really well. Nothing too dramatic happened and we didn't really do much to get ourselves into any trouble. It was really emotional, though. Aaron's parents were able to receive his diploma and there was an empty chair left on state in rememberance of him. I do not think that any of us were not crying at this point. After graduation came the all night party. Talk about tiring! I got home at 5:30 am and crashed. I then woke up a little later and continued to party all day today! I am exhausted. After graduation last night, Laura and I were not able to stop crying. We knew that we were rarely going to see one another again, and that was hard to bare! Life goes on!
Assassins '08
Well, the fun has begun. As of Tuesday after school, the game was on. My main objective on day one was to focus on staying alive rather than killing. Then, 3 of my classmates decided that we should team up. Day 1, Cory was killed off. That left three of us left in our quad. Cory was and is still determined to help us. At the end of Wednesday, we planned my attack on my mark, Devin. We staked out at his work until he got off. We waited for him to come out, and wham! He was soaked with my water gun that cost me about 30 cents. Angrily, Devin told me who my next mark was. My objection was no longer to avoid death, but to create death for those around me. My next target was a challenge. The next night, I planned my attack. So last night, I hid at Addy's house for more than an hour and waited for her to get there. The night ended in a wild car chase and an amazing sneak attack by me. Now, my next mark, is more challenging. Let me tell you about who has me! He has given up his focus on getting me at this point. He hid in my bushes, and failed. He tried to get me at work, and failed. Of our quad, there are only two of us left. Art, good luck dude! And to think, people say that this is only a game...but is it really!?
Last Day of Senior Year!!
My final day of high school was today, and I got some amazing pictures! Check them out!
