SADD Activities
Wow guys, this was such an exciting week for SADD! On Tuesday, our first group of mentors headed of to Nancy Grayson elementary school to teach the fifth graders about alcohol. That day went great! Then came Thursday! My groups day to go to James Burd elementary and share what we know. It went great! The kids interacted and I really am praying that they got something from it. It was a long day, but enjoyable! Fiona and I met and talked about getting with the Drug and Algohol prevention board. I am still praying on it but think its something that I would be interested in. Today, a group of us headed off to York for a conference. It was amazing! Sarah and I got to go to a workshop where we took alcohol advertisements and make them truthful. The one I had originally said "Dear Ketel One Drinker, Have a great holiday spirit!" I pasted pictures on it of a coffin and a girl who is paralyzed and wrote, "yeah this is the kind of spirit I was looking forward to!" Then Sarah and I met up with Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Chamberlin, Scott, Kady, and LuAnn to go to the impact panel. It was amazing. A survivor of a drunk driving accident spoke and she was incredible. A 12 year old girl spoke of her aunt and uncle and little cousin's deaths a few years ago due to a drunk driver. It was amazing, and very emotional. The tears were visable in everyone's eyes! We were all touched and felt the pain that those girls were feeling. The main speaker that we had, was great as well! He grew up in an alcoholic home, and was treated like he was worthless growing up. Then he found meaning in his life and became a comedian and someone who speaks to people. He was truly awesome! It was a great day! Oh, and you all may be wondering whats going on with physical therapy! I am regressing! But I will get back up there, trust me!

PS. Sarah, I love you, and I really hope that you stick to your side of our deal. I know how much it would hurt if you weren't in my life anymore! Please, I love you! We can do this!
