Finding God In Your Toughest Days

For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13

It was Carries first day of school. She was nervous and scared that she would not make any new friends. Carrie really didn't know what to do. She called one of her friends from her old school to talk everything through. Her friend reminded her of a very important thing. No matter what, you have a friend in God. He will carry you through and hold your hand as you walk through the halls of that school. Even though it may seem tough, God will get you through. There is nothing too big or too small for Him and will help us. Carrie went to school the next day nad trusted in God, and knew that He was right there beside her. She met some friends, and knew that God was in control. This, is the power of God!

Standing Tall Around Those Trying To Bring You Down

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. Psalm 91:7

Going to school with friends who have never accepted Christ. Growing up in a home where you are the only Christian. We all go through things like this. The temptation of this world, we must stand tall and remember to please God. As in the verse above, people are falling daily, because they do not have the Holy Spirit guiding them and holding them up. But we do. We see them falling and we see them struggling. We need to cry out to God, so that none of this will come near us. God will help us through times of temptation and give us the strength to pull through! Remember, stand tall through the temptations of this world. Do not let the others bring you down!

Everything You Do For His Glory

So whether you eat drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Whether you're at school, or whether you are just hanging out with your family, all of your decisions should be to glorify God. If you were tempted to go and get drunk with a couple of friends..do you think that it would glorify God? In everything we do, no matter what, we should bring glory to God. Oh how hard that is! There are so many times when we wonder whether God really understands how hard it is. But He does! One way that we can do things that would bring glory to Him is by praying for the strength to do right. When going to do something, ask yourself this...Am I glorifying God in what I am doing? Its as simple as that!

Dont Ever Be Ashamed!!

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. Romans 1:16

Everyday we interact with those we know who are not christians. Sometimes when we hear them say the Lord's name in vain, or do something that isn't something that is pleasing to God, we laugh along with them. We are afraid that we will be made fun of, or we are scared to lose our popularity. Basically, we are ashamed of what God has done in our life. It may not be the cool thing to be preaching the gospel, but it is what God calls us to do. Its the salvation of EVERYONE! Yes, everyone. Even the kid who always makes fun of you and may not be the most well behaved. So go out, share the word of God, and remember, do not be ashamed for it is the final result (salvation and heaven) that is most important!
